Being blown off my socks at the very first listen, all my wife founded was a smoking pair of shoes and the jewel case of Hinterland. Swearing revenge for the sake of her 29 year old missing husband, she vowed to get to you guys. But finally, I came back to calm her down and to congratulate you guys on a killer release on 2005. I frankly think you guys shook the cage enough to steal the 1st place in many hearts. Your record is not perfect, nothing is really. But seeing you guys teaching a lesson to Morse, Stolt, Arena, Glass Hammer and Echolyn, was a treat. I just love it when a band outta nowhere grabs the trophy!
Hope to hear a new album soon!!
This album is certainly desert island material! Thank you, thank you!

You have no idea how grateful I am to bands like you folks for releasing creative, intricate music in this day and age. Being an avid fan of such bands as Yes, Genesis, King Crimson and Gentle Giant; I LOVED Hinterland. It's most certainly one of the greatest things to happen to the progressive rock world since the golden age of the 70s. I liked how you paid tribute to each of the classic prog greats while still doing your own thing. Each of you (guest musicians included) are among the strongest I've heard among your instruments. Being a keyboardist and vintage keys enthusiast I especially enjoyed Lars' perfomance; not that the rest of you weren't amazing! Congrats on a stunning debut and good luck with the rest of your career.

Hi
I hope you don’t mind me hijacking the message board momentarily to tell you about a new CD and DVD sales website that has just been launched called www.sonicbond.com.
The whole purpose of the site is to promote artists across a variety of genres. Each one is picked on merit, based on the quality of their music and the spirit they make it in. Some bands will be well known, others completely unknown. Wobbler are, of course, involved, as are White Willow.
Each band gets their own homepage, with news, gig information and galleries as appropriate.
Hope you like the site, and many thanks for your time.
Best wishes

Hello friends,
The best greetings from Poland to all people at the WOBBLER camp!. I have decided to write to you as a fan, journalist and DJ devoted to intelligent and melodic rock music. Since many years I have been running "Art - Rock" company, which is the only company in Poland that is exclusively dedicated to promotion the symphonic/progressive rock music. I co-operate with a large number of independent labels and numerous progressive bands promoting their CD releases in Poland. I try to do my best for promotion the recordings of the artists presenting their recordings on my weekly radio show on local station Radio Alfa Kraków 102,4 FM. My show is 8 years old now and is on air every Wednesday between 8 and 10 pm Central European Time (7 and 9 pm GMT). It is called „Ma³y leksykon wielkich zespo³ów” ("Small Lexicon of the Great Bands). The web site address of my radio show is www.mlwz.prv.pl . You can listen to the number of archive shows there (in mp3 format) in AUDIO section (link AUDIO in menu) . You can find there the current and archive playlists of the shows, links to the bands/artists/labels, the reviews I wrote for Polish edition of Metal Hammer magazine and other progressive stuff. On the MLWZ show, I am presenting the Seventies bands which have sparked the imagination of music lovers playing progressive rock, art rock or symphonic rock. But the MLWZ show features first of all the younger artists. Not only Marillion, Pendragon, Galahad, IQ or Pallas but most of all debut bands and the ones which can currently boast the most interesting albums. The playlist always comprises plenty of new music exclusive to the MLWZ show, which in many cases means the tracks before their official release. Only on the MLWZ you can listen to albums currently not available for sale in Poland. It was the MLWZ show which featured Spock’s Beard, RPWL, Mostly Autumn, Karnataka, Asgard and many others on air for the first time. Apart from new albums, each show features Art Rock oriented news, music memories with a Classic Track Focus, interviews and special guest talks with Polish and international artists, and The Record of the Week Review, always between 9.00 and 10.00 pm, with ample classic rock highlights.
My another activity for promotion progressive rock artists is the cooperation with Polish edition of Metal Hammer magazine. Since 1995 every month I write the articles and the reviews of progressive albums.
I am very keen on keeping in touch with you. Recently I have read the review of "Hinterland" at Sea of Tranquility web site, then I visited Wobbler page, listened to the demo samples of your music and fel extremely enchanted! It all seems very promising and I know that your current album is absolutely not available in Poland and that’s why I am applying to you with very kind request about sending me the promotional and complimentary copy of it. Can you help me with it, please? I am very anxious about hearing your music after all these good things which I have read in the review. I want to use your album for the radio promotion and spreading a word about your musical activity amongst Polish listeners of progressive music. Is it possible to receive any further information concerning your musical/production activity? I am very interested in any detail you could give. I would highly appreciate receiving your CD with personal dedication on the booklet from the band specially for me, if possible. It would be a great boast of my private collection...And of course if you want I can send you a tape or CDR with mp3 file(s) of my radio show in which I will present your recordings. If only the review of your album appears in Metal Hammer magazine, the copy will be provided to you.
But most of all I would like to ask you to keep in touch with me and keep me informed about news and any firm details concerning your musical activity. I look forward to hearing from you soon,
Best regards

Hadde vært kult om dere spilte i Oslo-området igjen. F.eks. Osloprog '05, eller på Garage eller noe. Jeg fikk kjøpt cd'en, den er god... :)

I have a lot more that were taken, but I have limited web space.

Hello Wobbler! I thoroughly enjoyed your festival opening performance at NEARfest this past weekend. Your show was easily the best from any of the bands unfamiliar to my ears. I immediately picked up the Hinterland CD from Ken Golden and played it twice today. I really look forward to your next release (hopefully including your website clips plus some other goodies. I will definitely be on the lookout for new Wobbler material. Dave Parker

Hello Wobblers,
Congratualtions on your release of Hinterland. It's a masterpiece! Below is included my remarks posted at ProgArchives.com in their message forum. Best of luck also at Nearfest. I do hope that Nearfest will be recording your performance for a future CD. And I hope you can some day come and play here in California. Thanks for keeping Classic Prog Alive:
The buzz word about the Norwegian prog-band Wobbler being the next big group from Scandinavia is true. The Laser's Edge on-line prog sales is offering a limited amount of pre-release copies (release date Sept. 6th) prior to their American concert debut at Nearfest on July 9th. I just recieved my copy yesterday, and it certainly lives up to my expectations. Those of you who love symphonic prog with the old analog keyboards sound will be drooling. Those that haven't yet heard them won't hear much modern sounds from this band, but they present a sound more similar to Anglagard and Sinkadus, retaining the classic 70's prog style. You'll hear many influences from 70's Crimson and Genesis, to Gentle Giant, ELP, and even PFM. An excellent new addition to any symphonic prog lover's collection. There are vocals (in English) on three of the four tracks (yes they are long tracks!), and their keyboardist, Lars Fredrik Froisle, seems to be a modern Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman combined. He's also the keyboardist in the equally excellent White Willow. And for the Mellotron addicts, this one oozes with it! Dont hestiate, as this is a no-brainer for the Symphonic-prog fan, or wait until September! www.lasercd.com . This debut CD, plus the two complete demos tracks on their website will kept a smile on the symphonic prog-head for some time to come!

Hi Wobbler-people,
I've downloaded your demos & it's great music. I don't know why you just call it demos, cause to me it's perfect recorded material. The relation to Änglagård is noticable, but not that huge. I had other sounds in my mind while listening, some not so famous 70s Bands. A bit to "big" bassdrum, IMHO! Nice harpsichord in the beginning. Is it a real instrument or a sampled? And then this short interlude on the recorder!!! Not a very prominent instrument, but a sharp contrast & I always love the sound of it (ha, Gentle Giant used it...)
OK, all the best for the future. Did you made any concerts yet? And is the rehearsal-cottage as far from civilisation as the pictures suggests?
Thomas (yes, I found you via www.anglagard.net, home of my almoust favourit band nowadays...)
